TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS UNDERTAKING A PROGRAM/PROJECT PLACEMENT WITH INSIDE AFRICA VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION.
This lists the supports and services that will be provided before and during any placement organized with IAFRIVO. You need to read and agree on this terms and conditions before you you apply for one of our programs online.

THE OBLIGATIONS OF THE VOLUNTEER:
The Volunteer is obliged to actively take part in the accompanying educational program provided by IAFRIVO. This includes all seminars and workshops on offer. The Volunteer undertakes the responsibility for necessary medical checkups and immunization. The Volunteer is liable for any costs that may arise in relation to the issuance of a visa or residence permit in the host country.

► The Volunteer is committed to carrying out any tasks bestowed upon him by the Organization in a conscientious manner and will respect any house rules that are in place.
► Upon arrival in the host country, the Volunteer is responsible for registering himself promptly on the crisis prevention list at the relevant embassy.
► If the Volunteer does not comply with obligations listed above after repeated requests to do so, IAFRIVO holds the right to terminate the agreement without delay. In the event of dismissal without notice the Volunteer is not entitled to reimbursement of payments already made.

THE OBLIGATION OF THE ORGANIZATION:
► IAFRIVO will support the Volunteer in the application for and acquisition of all documentation required in order to start and complete his voluntary program chosen.
► Will be available as a point of contact to the Volunteer for the entire duration of their service and will help the Volunteer to make all necessary arrangements for successful completion of their placement.
► The Volunteer will receive the following from the Organization:

a)   Accommodation (Home stay arrangement)

b)   Catering (orientation and local food)

c)   Administrative assistance (Before and on the program)

d)   Airport transfer in the host country (arrival and departure)

e)   Emergency phone line, always manned by an English speaker

THE PROGRAM FEE / CONTRIBUTION
Depending on how long volunteer/intern intends to stay a full program fee is paid and a receipt issued. If the volunteer is serving for a term less than 8 months, then he/she has to pay the program fee for the first eight weeks as an advance payment before arrival to the host country. The rest of the payment on a weekly basis if the program exceeds duration of eight weeks. PROGRAM FEE PAID IS NOT REFUNDABLE. (Refer to note below)

PREMATURE TERMINATION OF VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT / TERMINATION PROCEDURES
The Organization is entitled to terminate this agreement ahead of schedule. If there is good cause to do so. Good cause shall be deemed to exist in the event that:

(A) The Volunteer/intern demonstrates a behavior in the host country that is likely to endanger the good reputation of the Organization or in the event of other significant infringements of the agreement.

(B) The Volunteer does not start his/her stay OR program.

(C) Health reasons, confirmed by a medical professional, prevent the continued stay in the host country.

(D) There is danger to life and limb (for example; war, catastrophe, internal unrest in the host country).

In the event of premature termination brought about by the Volunteer/intern (e.g. for reason listed under (A) and (B), then the Volunteer is not entitled to reimbursement of payments made.

In the event of premature termination brought about through no fault of the Volunteer (e.g. for reasons listed under (C), and (D), then the Volunteer is entitled to partial (50 Percent) reimbursement of payments made. This will be paid to the Volunteer/Intern by the Organization in cash prior to his/her departure.

EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM CONTRACT
This agreement shall take effect when:
► When the volunteer applies for a program on IAFRIVO website using the online application.
► When IAFRIVO accepts the volunteer’s application.

PRIVACY POLICY
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience in Ghana. We may use your personal information to:
Provide the services and program support you request.
To process your application and send notices about your program.
Send you targeted marketing, service update notices, and promotional offers based on your communication preferences. We do not share collected information with third parties and besides all applications and emails are handle by the programs director.

CODE AND CONDUCT.

Participants of IAFRIVO projects must agree to abide by the laws of Ghana and simple rules of the host family. Any of the following may result in disciplinary action or termination: Use of illicit drugs, physical and violence abuse of others.
